Mr. Sanford is a full-time teacher of seventh grade in the subjects of Language Arts and Social Studies at Lawson Middle School in the Cupertino Union School District, where he has practiced for eleven years. He holds a degree in English and American Literature from U.C.S.C., and an M.A. in Education with a focus on Differentiated Instruction from National University.  Over the past eight summers, he taught Essay Writing at the De Anza Extended Learning Program.  Passions of his include running marathons, cycling, playing chess, and solving puzzles.  He actively reads and writes, and is continually seeking to develop his craft as an educator.
